The RCM Industry Continues to Grow!

The RCM market is doubling in size. We’re looking at roughly $344 billion globally by 2030, with the U.S. alone hitting 10-11% annual growth. That’s not a projection anymore—that’s happening right now.

What’s driving it? Healthcare organizations are finally admitting they can’t handle their own revenue cycle management. Claims denials are eating into their margins. Prior authorizations are bottlenecks. Patient collections are a mess. And the bigger the health system, the worse the problem gets.

Here’s what I’m watching closely. Private equity is pouring money into this space. Major consolidation is underway. Companies are racing to integrate AI and automation. But underneath all that M&A activity and tech investment, there’s a fundamental truth: healthcare providers still need people who understand the business, not just the software.

That’s the real opening. If you’re willing to build genuine expertise in medical billing and revenue cycle management, you’re not competing in a crowded market. You’re entering one that’s actively expanding and increasingly desperate for qualified professionals who can actually solve problems.

Are you building skills in a shrinking industry, or positioning yourself in one that’s actively growing?
